Drawing Machine is a type self-portrait. The process creates a single mark along a roll of paper. The single mark becomes accumulated as the paper piles up on the floor. The accumulated line coils upon itself; its singleness becomes more than just a line. It becomes an object. Both the line and paper are transformed from their two-dimensional status to that of a three-dimensional object. In this new form, they become something more than they were. They transcend the limitations and expectations of externally imposed categories.
Drawing machine was created form scraps of wood, discarded in the waste bin.
