Sandra Bullock To Lead All-Female Ocean's Eleven Spinoff

A new Ocean’s Eleven movie is in the works and this one will be all about Girl Power. We’ve got the full details right now on Clevver News Feed. Move over Ghostbusters there’s a new franchise set to get an all-female cast. The Playlist brings word that Sandra Bullock is set to lead an all-female version of the Ocean’s Eleven franchise. The project has quietly been in development since last year and was referenced in the now infamous Sony email leaks, which ultimately lead former Sony chief Amy Pascal to greenlight the female Ghostbusters movie sooner after she got wind of the impending potential competition. Though it’s unclear how or if the new film will tie into the previous Ocean’s films, star George Clooney, who will produce the new film, could potentially make a cameo as “Danny Ocean”. The Hunger Games director, Gary Ross, is set to helm the project from a screenplay by Olivia Milch. Though the film doesn’t currently have a release date, the film is expected to go into production after Ross wraps The Free State of Jones starring Matthew McConaughey, which currently has a May 13th release. As for Sandra Bullock’s involvement, she and George Clooney have become close since filming 2013’s Gravity and most recently worked together on her latest release, Our Brand Is Crisis. Clooney is a producer on the film and was originally set to star, but the script was reworked for Bullock.
