Following Irelands win at the 1993 contest in Mill Street, Ireland and RTE hosted the event again in 1994 at the Point Theatre in Dublin.
The hosts were Cynthia Ni Mhurchú & the late Gerry Ryan.
This video has the BBC1 continuity announcement and the opening title sequence and introduction to the contest. The commentator for BBC was Terry Wogan, (who else!).
The 1994 contest is more famous for giving birth to the worldwide phenomenon 'Riverdance'.
The 1994 contest was also the first to have introduced a relegation system where the bottom 5 countries from the previous year were not participating this year in order to keep the numbers down to 25 countries.
