The Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit is looking to identify the suspect who shot and fatally wounded a 27 year-old male in Elmwood.

On October 16, 2013, at 11:27 am, 12th District Officers responded to a shooting in the area of 2400 South 63rd Street. When they arrived they found the victim, Tyrik Griffin who is 27 years-of-age from the 6100 block of Reedland Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his leg and lower back. The victim was transported to H.U.P (Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania) where he was later pronounced. Surveillance video recovered from the area depicts the victim being chased by an unknown male with a handgun who shoots him several times.

Suspect Description: Black male, 6'0″-6'1″, medium build, Sunni type beard, wearing dark colored clothing with "NIKE" in white letters across the chest of his sweatshirt.
