Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal – El día domingo 19 de Octubre el equipo Panteras, de la Universidad Panamericana Preparatoria, participó en la inauguración del evento de difusión artística “Guitar Town CDMX 2014” auspiciado por Gibson y el Gobierno del Distrito Federal. Para ello, el equipo adaptó y programó un robot para pintar una guitarra de 3 metros de altura de manera autónoma; misma que fue firmada por el Jefe de Gobierno del Distrito Federal, el Dr. Miguel Ángel Mancera y será expuesta en la avenida por un mes y medio.
La participación de un robot en vivo pintando en Guitar Town CDMX 2014 no solamente hace única a esta edición a las presentadas anteriormente en ciudades como Nashville, Austin y Londres; sino que también demuestra la incorporación de la ciencia y tecnología en la gran metrópoli que es la Ciudad de México. Es un honor para Panteras poder representar la innovación, compromiso y avances con los que cuenta el país, a través de una exposición cultural dirigida a todos los sectores de la población capitalina.
Mexico City, Mexico – On Sunday October 19th, team Panteras, from the Universidad Panamericana High School, participated in the opening ceremony of the artistic event "Guitar Town CDMX 2014" sponsored by Gibson and the Mexico City's Government. For this, the team adapted and programmed a robot to paint a 10-foot tall guitar autonomously; which was later signed by the Head of Government of the Federal District: Dr. Miguel Angel Mancera. It will be exposed on the Reforma Avenue for a month and half.
The participation of a robot painting live at Guitar Town CDMX 2014 not only makes this edition unique to those presented earlier in cities like Nashville, Austin and London; but also demonstrates the integration of science and technology in the metropolis that is Mexico City. The team Panteras’ is honored to represent the innovation, commitment and progress in the country, through a cultural exhibition aimed at all sectors of the capital's population.
