A camping and fishing trip to Buckhorn, Ontario in mid July 1972. Our family stayed at the Buckhorn Narrows facility, and had a cottage plus a boat go to fishing for walleye, perch, and the all elusive muskie (which we did not get).

Included is a very cute girl wearing a bikini (who now I hear, is the owner of Gannons Narrows!), and an older man playing bagpipes at the camp; the first time we ever saw someone doing that up close and personal. Also, are quick shots of the Buckhorn Lock in town, a part of the Trent-Severn Canal system that serves the Kawartha Lakes region of Southern Ontario. This are is a favorite place for people from Ontario, New York, even Ohio to come to for a fishing trip.

During our vacation, we received word from home that my sister-in-law gave birth of July 24th, 1972 to the first girl in our family, named Kyle. If you can read lips after a graphic, you will see her grandfather saying hi to her. Since this film was made, sorry to say he passed away in Feb. 1976.

This movie was shot on Super 8mm color film, and thus there is NO AUDIO on this clip.
