This patient came to us with complaints about the length of her nose as well as the irregularities to the tip. We are grateful she has allowed us to document her journey for educational purposes. Patients can
familiarize themselves with the entire process from beginning to end so they are informed and therefore less anxious. We want this to be fun and life changing.

This procedure was performed with general anesthesia using an open approach, which means a tiny incision on the narrow part of the columella. The case took about 2 hours. During that time Dr. Caridi performed rasping of the nasal bone and reduction of the excess upper lateral cartilages and septum which lowers and contours the dorsum or bridge. Cephalic trim and suture shaping of the tip complex was performed to work the tip for the best shape as well as to keep the tip complex aligned with the bridge of the nose. This must be perfectly performed. Lowering the excess projection of the tip complex was required. The nasal bones were shaped with great care to narrow and lower the bones.

Please leave your comments and questions below. As always, thanks for watching!
