http://www.http://tomlynskeyfilms.com/ This is a video I was asked to produce for the local police departments. The goal was to inform drivers (particularly teens) the dangers of distracted driving, to remind both drivers and pedestrians of the presence of each other, and to enforce the authority of the crossing guards.
Distractions include: Cell Phones (texting and calling), Radio, Roadside Distractions, Pets, Food, Passengers, and Cosmetics.
This film was difficult to make. It was hard finding a balance between making it fun and light in order to keep the kids interested, but still remaining serious about the content matter. This was the fifth or sixth draft.
In the earlier drafts, Jake Swing (http://youtube.com/sgtmoviemaker) voiced the narrations in the "Duck and Cover" style, but we found that no one got the reference. We had to change it all up and expanded my character (originally, I just get hit by a car), and instead make that victim the focus of the film.
Also- fun note. The town featured in this video is Newtown, PA, where M Night Shyamalan filmed Signs.
