This was my final presentation for my Comparitive Ethnic Studies Class taught by David Leonard at Washington State University. David is a very good teacher and the class showed the relations within food and race. We talked about slavery in cocoa, coffee, and banana industries. Also about how media shows food and its ads and how it is directly reflected in racism such as the mammy figure of Aunt Jamima.
The video is about chocolate and the slavery that goes hand-in-hand with it. I hope you enjoy and thank you for all the comments on this video.
Go Cougs!
