+Mission Statement+
The goal of this series is to enlighten the RuneScape community on the absolute best methods to kill high-level boss monsters, regardless of a player's combat level. My aim is to create a smooth PvM (player-versus-monster) experience that is as profitable, entertaining, and effective as possible.

Coming up next: Mithril Dragons

The Dagannoth Kings are ancient, legendary creatures. Each has their own myths and mysteries - it is said that Dagannoth Prime flies on the northern winds. Supreme is infamous for single-handedly wiping out the entire Bukulla race, a race we now know little about. Rex has limitless strength. These beings rule the race of the Dagannoth, a ferocious type of sea animal. They can be found in the very depths of Waterbirth Island. Should you wish to fight these, prepare yourself for a maelstrom of combat...

If you have Overloads (96 Herblore), you should solo them for max profit. Otherwise, go in a duo for more safety. If you have a Pack Yak (96 Summoning) or Fremennik Sea Boots 4 (Fremennik Elite Tasks), it's even more profitable, as you can keep all the Dagannoth Bones (9k+ each).

A little bit about the Dagannoth Kings:

The lair itself is a large, underground island surrounded by a moat. The moat is inhabited by level 76 Spinolyp, who attack with Magic and Range and can poison. The Kings themselves are all level 303 with 2,550 Life Points. They each represent one part of the combat triangle - Rex attacks with melee and is weak to magic, Supreme attacks with range and is weak to melee, and Prime attacks with magic and is weak to range. The Kings are unique in the fact that, like all monsters, they have a wander zone that they can not cross; however, once they spot a player and attack that player, they will continue attacking the player wherever he/she goes (unless he/she leaves the lair). Therefore, the goal is to stay avoid attracting the attention of more than one King at a time, as it can be lethal to tank more than one. Rex spawns in the southern portion and largely rules the southern half, Prime spawns a little north of the center and wanders the northern half, and Supreme spawns west and inhabits the western half.

The Dagannoth Kings are very profitable not because of the value of the items dropped, but because of the frequency at which they appear. The average of a "big" drop is about 1/50, and a solo tribrid can kill upwards of 65-75 Kings per hour (duos can go up to 130-150). If you're using a cannon, it's actually possible to max at 110 kills per hour SOLO. Therefore, you're basically guaranteed two or more drops an hour. With Fremennik Boots 4, you can add the bones into the profit - if you get 95 kills in an hour, you get almost a million extra coins as profit.
