A man is to stand trial next year accused of murdering the missing Edinburgh book-keeper Suzanne Pilley. David Gilroy has been accused of killing the 38 year old, hiding her body in an office block then moving it to various places around Scotland. In other news: Scottish MP Eric Joyce has spoken of his surprise at finding he'd been trailed by a private detective working for the News of the World; Transport Scotland says cuts in road maintenance will mean more accidents, costly damage and longer journeys; and in sport, referee Steven Craven says he is 'shocked and disappointed' at the SFA's decision to uphold his lifetime band from refereeing. This is an international version of the news that may have been edited for rights reasons.
