Some of the biggest ideas at Cincinnati Children's begin in the Research Foundation. When scientists come up with what they think are breakthroughs, they file invention disclosures to begin the process of marketing their discoveries to the rest of the world. Scientists here filed a record 118 invention disclosures in 2011 for ideas ranging from potential therapies for diseases to medical devices, diagnostic tools, educational guidelines and ways to use healthcare data.
