Alexis Lloyd, an alumna from Parsons The New School for Design (http://www.newschool.edu) and the Creative Director of the New York Times Research & Development Lab (http://www.nytlabs.com/), will discuss how we relate to technological systems, illustrate how these relationships are undergoing a paradigm shift, and will propose a new set of values for how we design future interactions with such systems. She will also show how the work she is directing in the Times R&D Lab applies those values to near-future prototypes for experiences around news, media, and information. Presented by the Journalism + Design Program (http://journalismdesign.com/) at The New School.
