The Superpod II event brought scientists, journalists, movie makers, and former trainers together for the second consecutive year. In this brief video, Jeffrey Ventre interviews Ingrid Visser, and more.

At SP II, Sam Simon, of "The Simpsons" fame, broadcast a 2 hour radio show about wild and captive orca. Three attorneys fighting for animal rights discussed nonhuman rights, and the fight to get them. Approximately 40-50 animal experts, from as far away as New Zealand, converged to see wild killer whales, and to share knowledge. Also, David Kirby launched his book, "Death at SeaWorld," with a public book signing at the Friday Harbor House.
