Barrel racer Christy Loflin of Franktown, Colo., takes the second go-round lead at the 117th Cheyenne Frontier Days with a blazing fast 17.07-second run. That run was a mere 4 hundredths of a second behind the arena record, which was set back in 1996. Chase Erickson takes the aggregate lead in bareback riding, while Kaycee Feild is second. Bull rider Bobby Welsh scored 85 points to take the aggregate lead. Bull rider Sage Steele Kimzey turns down a re-ride option and accepts a 73 that puts him in second for the aggregate title. Also, rookie saddle bronc rider Blaze Cress of Hillsdale, Wyo., scores 71 points and barrel racer Lexi Bath of Burns has a run in the second go.
