A quick video of me playing Guitar Hero 2's "Misirlou" on expert difficulty. This video isn't my best attempt at this song, and I couldn't find my memory card to see what my best score was but it was upwards of 100,000. This song on GH2 is a million times harder than it is on a real guitar, and i don't know why GH tries to do that. I thought the point of GH was to get kids interested in music and playing an instrument? Anyways on a real guitar the part that you'll see me struggle with even on star power is simply this on a real guitar: E 0 0 0 0 12 0 0 0 12 0 0 0 12 0 11 0 10 0 9 0 8 0 7 0 6 0 5 0 4 0 3 0 2 0 1 0 and then an E chord, but GH makes it some crazy decending riff where you have to attempt to strum the notes even though most of it in real life is hammer on/pull off stuff. At any rate, if anyone could give me some tips on how to play that part, i'd appreciate it. This video is mainly to show my strategy to beating this tough song, by using my star power at strategic times in the song to not lose. Comments welcome!
