The Razor R420R LED light is the latest innovation from aquarium supply manufacturer Maxspect. In today's MarineDepot.com video, we're going to take a closer look at this high-performance, high-intensity light.
The Maxspect Razor is available in two sizes: 20.5" (120 watts) and 27" (160 watts). The fixtures are available in two different color spectrums: 10,000K and 16,000K. Maxspect uses high-quality Cree XLamp®, XT-E and XP-E LED chips equipped with 90° optics.
The light has an integrated timer that comes pre-programmed for dawn-to-dusk lighting but is also customizable with 2 channels and time-points so hobbyists can create their own personalized photoperiods.
The Maxspect R420R Lighting has an ingenious aerodynamic design that draws cool air from underneath the fixture, through its body—which also serves as a large heat sink—to dissipate heat passively. The Maxspect Razor LED features two fans that are thermally-triggered to only turn on when they need to, allowing for generally silent operation.
The light comes with adjustable mounting legs but can also be suspended above the tank if you prefer to hang the light.
