On Aug. 8, 2011, the day after former New York Gov. Hugh L. Carey died, political reporter Liz Benjamin, host of the Capital Tonight program on the YNN cable news network, interviewed Seymour Lachman, biographer of the late governor. Lachman is the director of Wagner College's Hugh L. Carey Institute for Government Reform and, with Robert Polner, co-author of "The Man Who Saved New York: Hugh Carey and the Great Fiscal Crisis of 1975."
