Posted here is commentated gameplay footage of the Aerannis Public Demo found on itch.io! This demo features a mixture of levels throughout the game. I decided to focus specifically on the Light Temple level (in which I died a lot) and discuss the various mechanics used during play.
While I do have some complaints about the controls, and felt the Light Temple section was significantly harder compared to the backer demo, I did enjoy the playthrough overall and I look forward to more!

For those unfamiliar with the game, Aerannis takes place in the fictional Bulgarian feminist dystopia of Plovdiv. Founded in 2XXX, Plovdiv serves as the last refuge of humanity, after an apocalyptic event wipes out the entire population. However, Plovdiv is a transgender-exclusive radical feminist dystopia in nature, and strongly discriminates against transgender women.
Throughout the game, the player takes on the role of Ceyda Farhi - a transgender woman and assassin, who makes a living from paycheck to paycheck. She struggles against the discriminatory policies of the city's transgender-exclusionary ideology, and lives on the fringe of Plovdiv's society.

Developed by ektomarch, Aerannis was successfully funded on Kickstarter back in November 2014. Since then, mid-tier backers have been receiving regular updates of the Alpha version of Aerannis. This demo was publicly available, however, I did back the original game - just as disclosure.
