Judy Chu is the first Chinese American woman to be elected to serve in Congress. She is the current Chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) and has represented the state of California in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2009.

The Asian Pacific American (APA) Legacy public service campaign is part of the strategic partnership between the United States Capitol Historical Society (USCHS) and the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS).

The campaign is to educate and raise the awareness of the contributions APAs have made in U.S. history by using traditional and social media outlets. This campaign highlights the achievements and contributions made by Members of Congress of Asian American and Pacific Islander descent and the impact their actions have had on society.
