Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert delivered the graduation address to more than 500 students of the U.S. Naval War College during a ceremony on June 15, 2012, on Dewey Field at Naval Station Newport.

The June graduating class of 2012 included almost 300 of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, National Guard and civilian government employees and over 100 international students from 70 countries. When combined with March and 2011 November graduates, the 2012 graduation class was the largest in the college's 128-year history with 1,692 students.
