Make a Believer Out of Me is a program where non-believers have an open discussion with members of a particular faith/world-view/belief system to educate other non-believers as to what different religions (and individual denominations within) actually believe and what they don't believe. Additionally, it gives the guests an opportunity to explain the reasons and evidence they find convincing and sufficient for their beliefs and to see if they can make a believer out of us.

This was our test run and our apologies for the rough format here (we ended up having to run on a tape-film camcorder as well). We have invited these guests back for another episode and hope to have that opportunity for a cleaner and more focused episode with them; and have more time to wrap things up in the end. If you are interested in the scientific answers to the claims presented by many Young-Earth Creationists, please enjoy the Talk Origins Archive at www.talkorigins.org.

MABOOM hosts are from the San Diego Coalition of Reason (www.SDCoR.org):

Jim Eliason is an Event Organizer with the San Diego New Atheists & Agnostics (http://www.meetup.com/san-diego-athei...)

Sean Taylor is a Board Member of the Humanist Fellowship of San Diego (http://www.hfsd.info)

MABOOM guests on the Pilot Episode are both Young-Earth Creationists:

Kevin Conover is a Christian apologetics teacher with Educate for Life (www.educateforlife.org)

Bill Hoesch is a geologist associated with the Institute for Creation Research (www.icr.org)
