This was meant to be a how-to, but it came out too confusing for that. (might add annotations or a voice-over later? probably not) (note that the tweaks don't end here, there was another 4 minutes of sped up footage I didn't include. This icon was a bastard, basically.)
- Modelviewer FOV must be set to 5 (sometimes a little higher if it flickers)
- There is no rule for stroke thickness, I use from about 5-8, it depends on the image size and how much detail you put in.
- Apart from melee weapons, I recommend using existing muzzleflashes/impact effects to help clarify what they are. All pistols use the same muzzleflash, all revolvers, etc. Of course exceptions can be made.
- At about 2:36, I'm tweaking some details to make it read better at a small scale. Include as much detail as possible without making it look overcrowded. Some details can be overscaled to make them more apparent, use this for important parts such as the trigger/trigger guard. Unimportant parts can be underscaled/removed entirely.
