Pigeon Street was a brilliant cartoon first shown in the UK in 1981. It was all about the wonderful characters who lived in the street and the adventures they went on. Favourite characters were Long Distance Clara (a truck driver) and Mr Jupiter the astronomer.

The theme tune was written by Benni Lees:
If you lived, in Pigeon Street, here are the people you could meet.
Here are the people who would say hello goodbye, hello goodbye... every day.
If you lived, in Pigeon Street, here are the people you could meet.
Here are the people who would share the sights, the sounds, the air where
Pigeons beat their wings, wings, beat. Pigeons beat their wings, wings, beat,
To meet in Pigeon Street...

Many thanks to Andy the Bassist who helped me work out the chords (damn those Major7ths).

Why don't they make children's cartoons like this anymore...?
