RAHAT - A Flight For Relief
Rahat, a multi utility UAS, is designed for short-range aid operations. It can accurately drop an aid package of upto 3.25 lbs on a target and transport an additional cargo while delivering real-time data and video feed to the ground station.
Highly portable and rugged, the Rahat was specifically designed to be easily shipped around the world as a single kit or a set of kits. The empty weight of the UAS is less than 9 lbs and the shipping size of a complete Rahat system is less that 6 ft. A single kit can be easily carried by one person alone. A Rahat system can be quickly erected, with only five main components that need to be assembled on-field.
Additional systems and accessories, fuel tanks, etc. can be easily incorporated into at least one of its payload bays for extending its range or capabilities. The low cost makes it affordable for rapid acquisition by aid organisations.
With a few modifications, the Rahat can also be used in multiple roles such as spraying insecticides, topographical mapping, surveillance for security, etc.
