"Formaldehyde; a toxic chemical, was in the Brazilian Blowout as a preservative for the animal protein (an ingredient in the product made of bovine). Formaldehyde was used for it's inexpensive price, so was the animal protein." (Steve Miller of Gable's Cosmetics, May, 2011) Great information for cosmetologists, hairdressers, beauty school students, salon and spa professionals who like to know more about product ingredients, their prices, and reasons why they are used in products, even though they are banned in many countries for their toxicity.
