I use inner radius = half the outer radius now instead of one third as in 2D. This is close to the cuberoot of 9 one would need to have a volume relation of 8 to 1 similar to the area relation of 8 to 1 in 2D of the two kernels. I also found out that it is kind of annoying that I have only a resolution of 64^3 in real-time, as with 128^3 or more it would be possible to find things easier. My next graphics card will be 10 times faster, then I will have 128^3 in real-time. Looking forward to the Kepler 28 nm node.
