Jon Allen's Lego animation combines humor and clever stop-motion filming to tell the story of math gone wrong in "Aftermath," which received an honorable mention in the 2014 Math-O-Vision movie contest.

"This video was distinguished by its inventive puns and wordplay. Many viewers will have to work a bit to get the puns, which means they'll have to do (or learn!) some math -- which is the point, after all, isn't it?" - Math-O-Vision judge Steven Strogatz

Math-O-Vision is a video contest for high school students. Tell and original story inspire by math. See the world through mathematical eyes. Think. Create. Reveal a mind-expanding view of the world as it appears through math. Bring Math-O-Vision to life!

The Neukom Institute for Computational Science and the Dartmouth College Math Department are offering prizes up to $4,000 to students attending high schools in the United States (or alternative, accredited programs) who explore the ways math appears in our world, in nature, in technology and in the arts.
