The pro-War on Drugs side had this argument in their arsenal: that the war could be effectively prosecuted by going after the financial flows. Ed Vulliamy is questioned by Eliot Spitzer here. His position is that drugs are bad for the poorest in the world and could be controlled by going after the richest in the world.
