Please Note, this is not a Bruce Cockburn video, my only picture for The Birchmere, I have.

Shawn Colvin performing songs at The Birchmere, as part of Dick Cerri's Music Americana Showcase shows. A Showcase featured several groups or singers at a show.

Shawn sings Shotgun Down The Avenue, then she tells about her career in singing advertising jingles, as she talks about one product and then sings the jingle, which was for a product called New Freedom, which is........, well listen.

Then Shawn sings Ricochet In Time.

Then Dick comes back on the air, to play a bit of a interview he did with her.
He mentions that she won the New York Music Award for Best New Vocalist which was won in the past by Suzanne Vega, Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen.

Dick asks Shawn about who influence her in music.

Then Dick goes back to The Birchmere tape and Shawn sings killing the Blues.

Then Dick talks more about Shawn, and how she sold 200 cassettes at Club Passim and 40 cassettes at The Birchmere, as she did not have any albums at the time!

Dick says, she is going to be really big in time, as this was a time, May 31, 1988, when very few knew about Shawn Colvin. And he was right.
