STORM CHASER TONY LAUBACH
A very rare nighttime severe weather event hammers the western suburbs of Denver. At about 10:30pm, a tornatic storm with very heavy rains, large hail, very strong winds, and possibly a brief tornado rips through the Wheat Ridge neighborhoods along Kipling Ave between I-70 and Colfax causing extensive tree damage, significant hail damage, and lots of street flooding.
This video package covers the storm damage taken in the hours following the storm's passage. Package includes emergency crews on-scene of various areas, raw footage of people out and about with flashlights, and footage of down trees on a house.
This is 2 of 3 videos covering this event and covers the damage shot in the hours following the storm. This package was shot at night in an area with no power, so scenes may appear very dark on the computer. HD footage viewed on a larger monitor is much more visible than seen here on YouTube. Other two packages include flood footage immediately after the storm and the early morning and daylight generic damage videos.
