"You got me all up in my feelings," sings Queen Naija during our exclusive LIFT performance of "Butterflies" at LA's El Matador beach. Fans know that the R&B newcomer's vocal skills are always out front when she does let those feelings rule, and Naija's modern soul approach, which can be heard on tracks such as "Medicine" and "Karma," is becoming more and more fetching with each new release. This week, our LIFT program will give fans another live video and a cool profile of the YouTube hero. For the last few years, Queen Naija has been pleasing her sizable audience by inviting them into her all aspects of her life as a wildly popular vlogger. Boasting three million subscribers, her YT channel has focused on delivering personal candor. When she and her husband split last year, it prompted her to hit the studio and not only vent some frustration but stand up for women everywhere. "Medicine" busted the the 22-year-old to the next-level success that she's enjoying right now. Her follow-up track on the same subject, "Karma," which we recently offered a live version of, is just as revealing. If you loved both of those, you need to check this guitar-and-voice spin of "Butterflies," shot live with a gorgeous section of California coastline as a backdrop. Share it with a friend.
