Pittsburgh Steeler Max Starks helped kick off this year's Best Books for Babies campaign, a project of the Fred Rogers Company, The School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Association for the Education of Young Children (PAEYC).

At 6'8" and 370 pounds, Pittsburgh Steeler Offensive Tackle Max Starks is often called upon to use his strength and talent to read defenses and protect his teammates. Last week, Max Starks read baby books to infants, toddlers and their parents so they can discover the joy this together time can bring.

The ten books selected as the 2011 Best Books for Babies will be packaged as a set and sent to more than 225 food pantries throughout Western Pennsylvania this summer as part of Best Books for Babies "Reading is the Fifth Food Group" program. For more information visit www.bestbooksforbabies.org.
