Watch the updated version now.

Generation I:
Pokémon Red & Green (Japan) (Game Boy)
Pokémon Red & Blue (International) (Game Boy)
Pokémon Yellow (Game Boy Color)
Game Music Composed by Junichi Masuda, who utilized the four sound channels of the Game Boy to create both the melodies and the sound effects and Pokémon "cries" heard upon encountering them. He noted the game's opening theme, titled "Monster", was produced with the image of battle scenes in mind, using white noise to sound like marching music and imitate a snare drum.

Generation II (Game Boy Color):
Pokémon Gold & Silver
Pokémon Crystal
Game Music Composed by Junichi Masuda & Go Ichinose

Generation III (Game Boy Advance):
Pokémon Ruby
Pokémon Sapphire
Pokémon Emerald
Game Music Composed by Junichi Masuda who wrote only battle tunes, Go Ichinose wrote most of the town, route, fanfare & 'Spotted' tunes, whereas Morichi Aoki did the remainder.

Pokémon FireRed (Remake of Generation I)
Pokémon LeafGreen (Remake of Generation I)
The music used in the titles was derived from the classic game consoles, and arranged by Go Ichinose. Masuda and Ichinose decided not to change the reused music from the basic background sounds used in the originals, and instead updated them by adding additional sounds.
Game Music Composed by Junichi Masuda, Go Ichinose and Morikazu Aoki

Generation IV (Nintendo DS):
Pokémon Diamond
Pokémon Pearl
Pokémon Platinum
Game Music Composed by Hitomi Sato and Junichi Masuda under the supervision of Go Ichinose, with a few other fanfares composed by Morikazu Aoki.

Pokémon HeartGold (Remake of Gen II)
Pokémon SoulSilver (Remake of Gen II)
Unlike how FireRed and LeafGreen's intro was an updated version of the opening from Red and Green, HeartGold and SoulSilver have an entirely new intro, using none of the footage from the intro of Gold and Silver. The intro however, uses some music that was in the original and the title screen displays 3D renders of Ho-Oh and Lugia in movement similar to the original title screens.
Game Music Composed by Go Ichinose, Junichi Masuda, Morikazu Aoki, Shota, Kageyama, Hitomi Sato, Satoshi Nohora, Takuto Kitsuta

Generation V (Nintendo DS):
Pokémon Black
Pokémon White

Game Music Composed by Junichi Masuda, Go Ichinose who was in charge of directing all Pokémon voices for the game, Shota Kageyama, Hitomi Sato, Morikazu Aoki, Satoshi Nohara and Minako Adachi who produced all sound effects.

And YES I did replace the "Pikachu!" sound in the Pokémon Yellow Title Screen, original is really bad :S

And I noticed a difference between the music in Pokémon Silver, Gold & Crystal:
Silver doesnt have any real ending, its just faded out, crystal have a different and a little bit cut off beginning of the song for the Title Screen :) I used the Gold version of the song, but also included the beginning of the Crystal version a bit later.

I recorded everything using VisalBoyAdvance & DeSmuME and edited using Sony Vegas Pro 9.0e & Sony Vegas Pro 10.0d :)

PS. If the sound disappears, refresh the page and wait until its buffered complete until skipping openings ;)

Silent Momentum
The home menu on Diamond and Pearl were pretty cool. Platinum, even to this day is kind of scary, with Giratina's sprite in motion along with that high pitched-like noise added to the music.
