On the Laura Ingraham Show today, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell gave House Republicans on Capitol Hill some advice on how to proceed with the ongoing budget battle in Washington.
Should House Republicans be willing to let the government shut down if Planned Parenthood isn't defunded?
@0:09 - McDonnell: "I think they ought to stand their ground and this is an opportunity that everybody knows is historic and we've got to take it. Without dramatic long term cuts in this deficit we're going to hand on a country that's less secure and more in debt than ever before...I think this $100 billion dollars [in cuts] is a small start."
@1:01 - McDonnell: "I think there's a way for them to work this out without shutting the government down."
@1:47 - McDonnell: "I think given what's happened with Planned Parenthood nationally lately that's certainly a fight that's worth having because of some of the things their clinics have done."
