I asked my apartment complex to clean this mess up, but after 6pm when everyone went home, I got tired of dealing with the flies so I did it myself. The city of Mesa picks up the dumpsters like they do every Friday and they spilled a bunch of trash on the ground and left it. Flies were having a feast on half eaten food, diapers, and even broken glass. I don't know who is responsible for keeping our dumpters clean, I just know it is not my job. However these flies come into my apartment every time I open the door. The area is now clean and picked up, but the ground needs to be hosed down. Do I now have to buy a hose and do it myself?
Trash day was today, and the dumpsters are now full again from the trash left by the city of Mesa. For those who are curious our complex has several dumpsters and I can see two of them from outside my front door. We have trash pickup 3 times a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I have lived here for 3 years and I only began having this problem for the past two weeks. I don't know if it is a new dumptruck driver or the new management company that our apartment has but someone needs to keep the dumpsters clean. It is not my job.
