Thirteen-year-old Joseph knows the power of a wish firsthand. When he was just four years old, he was diagnosed with a tumor on his brain's pituitary gland. Within days, Joseph's life became a flurry of doctors, hospitals and exams that culminated in delicate brain surgery.

As a result of his surgery, Joseph required daily medications and injections, as well as additional treatments and hospital stays. While bedridden during one of his recoveries, Joseph decided that more than anything else, he wanted to go to LEGOLAND® in San Diego.

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work.
