Next in the series of videos of accompaniment practice, we begin the morning program. Lessons 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 pertain to the morning program at a typical ISKCON temple. This lesson discusses the typical accompaniment that's seen in the Mangala Arati, the first morning arati ceremony performed. The song sung is the Gurvastakam, written by Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura. This song is in praise of the spiritual master. A 19 minute kirtan with mridanga accompaniment is the main focus of this video.

While the dubbing of kartals were not in this video, a practice MP3 with kartals and a harmonium playing the Gurvastakam is available for download for your practice. Please click here for this.
