Whilst I was away up north, I decided to pay a quick visit to Debenhams to see what the toilets were like. Expecting to just see fairly modern Twyfords urinals and bowls with concealed cisterns, I was surprised to find Invicta urinals (with auto cistern) and sinks dating from (a rough guess) around the 1940s. Unfortunately I was let down by the cubicles as they looked old from the outside but turned out to be modern inside. First cubicle is a Twyford bowl with a low level Derwent cistern, disappointingly short flush on this one. Second cubicle has the same cistern but the bowl is either by Barrhead or Armitage Shanks. Flush is still short on this one but more powerful.
Note - only two of three cubicles were shot as the third one was locked off and out of order.
