Check the thermostat first, it could be in upside down! Always do the easiest thing first and never take for granted what someone else might have done. I learned that lesson the hard way, when I was an auto mechanic.

what would be a reason for the tempature guage to stay at the hottest a ground if so on these trucks where do i find the ground

wrong vontage water pump... serp pump turns the wrong way.

just take all that stuff off and put a set of headers and duals on it .

I cant remember if you have said this before or not but do you recommend ported or manifold vacuum on a stock 350 without any sort of emissions items?
