a-ha, Europe & REO Speedwagon are interviewed by host Stu Jeffries for the CBC Vancouver TC series GOOD ROCKIN' TONITE. From Norway Mags, Morten & Pat of a-ha were taped in 1986 at the height of their success.following #1 hits "Take on Me" and "The Sun Always Shines on TV" from their 1985 debut LP "Hunting High & Low." From Sweden the hard rock Europe led by vocalist Joey Tempest was taped in 1987. Founded in 1979 as Force, they changed their name to Europe in 1982 and became one of the most successful bands of the '80s. "The Final Countdown" was #1 in 25 countries. From Illinois REO Speedwagon achieved considerable success during the 1980s, selling 40 million records during their career. Neal Doughty, Kevin Cronin & Gary Rickrath talked with Stu. Included is an appearance by British comedian Benny Hill at a Genesis (Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford, Tony Banks) video taping. Music videos have been deleted.
