The Puppini Sisters gave a Concert at "Burg Wilhelmstein" in Würselen, Germany on 12.06.09 and we, the Nevermind Girls, would have killed to watch that because we love and adore the Style of the Puppinis and so we went to see a simply glamourous and incredible musical show.
After the show (at that Point we honestly were high with enthusiasm, probably probing everyone elses patience a little bit but - for our defence: it honestly was pure, raw joy - sorry for the girly sqeaking btw... hormones and stuff, you know) we went to the stage to ask for Autographs and for something else.
Something that really was a deep desire for 4 (normally 5 - Astrid was on Holiday) young singing ladys.
We wanted to sing their version of "I will survive" - exactly as they did it on their cd.
So after shyly asking for Autographs we finally (at that point the only person able to form words and not just yadda like "sblllllthfwow" was me - the big blonde - so I had to ask) managed to declare our wish.
We had fantasized about 3 scearios (on which we secretly betted against each other):
a) the Puppinis would be simply too tired and too exausted to do that stuff after a show and they would politely ignore the wish and sign autographs with a friendly smile.
b) they would want to hear us sing, but not join
c) they would say: "Sure, yeah, great!" (in our colorfulst imaginations), invite us with open arms (literally) and then do an swing'n-bop-do-rolla extravaganza with us.
(As said, in our wildest dreams.)
To our surprise they were as sweet and down to earth as you can imagine, they never even discussed this unusual wish between each other and two seconds later to our very big surprise - it didn't help to cool down our exaggeration - scenario c emerged. (That's why everyone of us in the vid is standing like paralysed rabbits - we just couldn't cope with what reality had offered to us.)
Well, what can I say.
It was absolutely incredible so sing that song with you and if you don't know it by now:
On that evening you made 4 People on this Planet very, very happy (thats an understatement, actually).
Thank you so very much!!!
(And if you're ever in Germany near us again, we will come to watch you, you bet!)
