Milton Reynolds of Facing History and Ourselves discusses some of the hurdles faced by educators in teaching history of eugenics at the high-school level, as well as some of the opportunities for addressing these challenges. This presentation was part of a plenary on Education and the New Human Biotechnologies which occurred as part of the 2011 Tarrytown Meeting.
The Tarrytown Meetings bring together people working to ensure that human biotechnologies and related emerging technologies support rather than undermine social justice, equality, human rights, ecological integrity and the common good.
