Ruth Heidrich, Ph.D. discusses how she has kept metastatic cancer at bay for over 30 years by a vegan diet and exercise. This same program works for heart disease, stroke, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, dementia, and more, and saves a lot of money to boot! She also talks about her new book, Lifelong Running.

Ruth received her Ph.D. in Health Management in 1993 and is the author of A Race for
Life, CHEF cookbook, Senior Fitness, and Lifelong Running. She has completed six Ironman Triathlons, 67 marathons, and has won eight gold medals in the Senior Olympics. She has won more than 900 trophies and medals since her diagnosis of breast cancer in 1982 at the age of 47. She is a certified fitness trainer and has set three world records for fitness for her age group at the renowned Cooper Clinic in Dallas, Texas. She is one of the founding members and past president of the Vegetarian Society of Hawaii, past president of the Mid-Pacific Road Runners Club, and Life Member of both organizations.
