Louise and Danny have been coming to Cornwall on holiday for many years and St. Ives is a particular favourite.
Tregenna castle was the obvious choice for their big day with its views over the bay and the possibility of getting married outside.
Danny and the family stayed in a lodge while Louise and her daughter got ready in the bridal suite.
Lots of planning went into the big day and many familar wedding suppliers were working at the wedding.Louise and Danny particularly wanted an outdoor ceremony and the weather was kind. However it is a requirement that an indoor venue be provided as a backup so wedding coordinator,Kate made the Godrevy room ready. Chair covers were provided by Sitting Pretty and Flowers by Anna of Wedding flowers in Cornwall.
A dream of Louise was to arrive at her wedding in a horse and carriage. Although she was staying in the hotel so not actually travelling to her wedding The Praze Carriage Company obliged by collecting her and driving her round the grounds before arriving at the top of the steps for her walk down to waiting Danny and the guests.
String quartet Pink Champagne played as Louise arrived and during the ceremony. The weather held although the black clouds to the west were slightly worrying!
After the ceremony Louise and Danny went off for a few minutes private time while they enjoyed a ride around St. Ives in the carriage. The guests gathered on the grass for drinks and the photo session with Simon and Anna from Simon Burt photography.
A special bonus was that the Olympic torch relay team were at the hotel and Louise got to hold a torch.
During the ceremony staff had done a grand job of turning the Godrevy room round for the wedding breakfast. Louise's uncle gave the first speech followed by Danny then the children singing happy birthday to Louise. Danny's brother gave the bestman's speech having flown in especially from the US. A cake in the form of a fairytale castle provided by Clare of Clare's cakes was ceremonially cut as the final part of the formalities. The evening started with a trip to Carbis bay for a paddle in the sea and some photos and then back to the hotel where the guests joined in making a marryoke.
Absolute chocolate provided a chocolate fountain and music was by local band Cynergy.
