TURN ON ANNOTATIONS

A RPG (Role Playing Game), this is the second generation of the Pokémon franchise which includes Gold, Silver, and Emerald. Players are able to play the new Johto region along with the previous Kanto region after beating the Elite 4 for the first time.
The second generation of Pokémon video games began in 2000 with the release of Pokémon Gold and Silver for Game Boy Color. Like the previous generation, an enhanced remake titled Pokémon Crystal was later released. It introduced 100 new species of Pokémon (starting with Chikorita and ending with Celebi), for a total of 251 Pokémon to collect, train, and battle. New gameplay features include a day-and-night system (reflecting the time of the day in the real world) which influences events in the game; full use of the Game Boy Color's color palette; an improved interface and upgraded inventory system; better balance in the collection of Pokémon and their moves, statistics and equippable items (a new addition); Pokémon breeding; a new region named Johto and the ability to select the protagonist's gender. Unique to the second generation games is the fact that, after exploring Johto, the player can enter and explore the original Kanto region, which lies to the east of Johto.

As of May 8th, 2009 a 10th anniversary remake of Gold, Silver, and Crystal will be released as Heart Gold and Soul Silver. It will be released in Japan late 2009 and the rest in 2010.

This video will show what is played when the main character encounter a Team Rocket member, or in the Team Rocket, ロケット団 Rocket-dan, takeover of Goldenrod Radio Tower ラジオとう Radio Tower and Goldenrod Underground Path Tunnel.

Following the defeat of Pryce at the Mahogany Town Gym, it is necessary to purge the radio tower of Team Rocket in order to continue the storyline as a man selling Ragecandybars will prevent access to Route 44, the eastern path out of Mahogany, until the Radio Tower has been returned to normal. After defeating the impostor station manager in the fifth floor office, the main character will receive the Basement Key, which opens up a sealed area of the Underground Path. Upon finding the real station manager in the second basement of the Goldenrod Department Store, he will give the main character a Card Key to open the door on the third floor that separates the upper floors of the tower in two. With the Card Key in tow, the main character can ascend to the fifth floor studio to defeat the Generation II leader of Team Rocket, effectively disbanding the organization. To show his gratitude, the station manager will give the main character a Rainbow Wing in Gold, a Silver Wing in Silver, or a Clear Bell in Pokémon Crystal.
