We tested the 32-bit EFM32G890 MCU powered SCUBAPRO Meridian in the Cayman Islands. Inside it you will find Energy Micro's energy friendly EFM32G890 Gecko microcontroller, a 32 MHz, 32-bit processor based on the powerful ARM Cortex-M3 core. The EFM32 takes care of Uwatec's adaptive algorithm which handles multi-gas decompression, the effects of workload, micro bubbles and temperature for each dive. The complexity requires extreme calculations while maintaining energy efficiency.
The Meridian is a complete dive planner with advanced multi-gas algorithms for depths down to 120 meters. It works as a multi-function wrist watch with SCUBA, APNEA or GAUGE modes for under water, and features both altimeter and thermometer for above water expeditions.
An integrated Heart Rate Monitor senses your efforts and adapts the decompression algorithm resulting in safer dives. The Meridian also stores 50 hours of dive profiles that can be downloaded, edited and reviewed on a personal computer. This dive computer rocks!
