On October 2, 2010 DART ran special event Green Line service to Fair Park. The Green Line operated on a clockwise loop utilizing the service track spur south of downtown Dallas. This video captures the route in real time between Fair Park Station and Cedars Station.
Starting at Fair Park Station, the train traveled southwest on Green Line tracks to the service yard wye. It then traveled through the service yard (passing several light rail and streetcar vehicles in storage) and west on the service track to connect with the Blue/Red Line track south of Cedars Station.
The service track crosses active freight tracks and is not normally in revenue service. Special even Red Line service operated counter-clockwise, offering non-stop service from Plano. This service was repeated the following weekend.
