As covered in the first video, but from the perspective of the patient’s wife, Dr. Caridi discusses the patient’s posture, illustrating the extents that those who suffer from gynecomastia will go to hide the condition, which include the “gyno hunch.” The patient exhibited big puffy nipples with bigger areolas, despite having obviously been working out, showing that exercise and muscle growth can lead to more noticeable gynecomastia and that it is not a treatment for the condition.

Moving onto the procedure, it is a standard gynecomastia removal treatment for puffy nipples, which is exhibited by gyno glandular tissue in Zone 1 and under the nipple in Zone 0. First using Vaser liposuction treatment to remove excess fat tissue, Dr. C then removes this gynecomastia gland using his tissue pullout technique with a small incision at the bottom of the nipple areolar complex. Making sure to completely remove the glandular tissue to control reoccurrence, Dr. Caridi uses his internal flap technique to ensure that he can remove all gland without leaving a nipple depression. Continuing with internal flaps using the normal tissue remaining, an even contour is formed which will also support the overlying nipple-areola complexes.

Dr. Caridi and everyone at the Austin Gynecomastia Center want to thank Chase and Hayley for the devotion to helping raise awareness of how gyno doesn’t have to control your life and that there is help available! Gynecomastia sufferers often have anxiety of what surgery will be like…is it scary? does it hurt? is traveling for gynecomastia treatment difficult? what is gyno surgery recovery like? As shown, it couldn’t be easier for such a massive life improvement.

The next day after surgery, Chase has his “big reveal” as he had vowed to not look at his post-op chest until his follow-up appointment. Looking at his chest for the first time, he breathes a deep sigh of relief as it is evident that years of embarrassment are now behind him. At two days post-op, Chase describes his first couple of days of recovery, including his first shower which he explains “[was a] special experience because I had to spend several moments looking in the mirror and just admiring the new image that I have.” He also promises a third video that will cover the gynecomastia surgery recovery process in more detail over a longer period.
