So, Yamazaki was a COTM winner on the Guild. Oh, my, where could I begin? While I can understand some just want to have fun, do they even bother to analyze the characters?
So, how many flaws I could see on Yamazaki? How did R@CE's char won a COTM when being really that bad? Let's check the issues on Yamazaki:
Hebi Tsukai: Its incredible fast at start. Since you're using Yamazaki's sprites from CVS, should have at least a small startup from the Hebi Tsukai (unlike KOF's on which is instantaneous). Why? Because in source, Hebi Tsukai can only chain with mid and strong hits, due to the small startup time.
Bakudan Pachiki (the headbutt): You never bothered to check how command throws work, right, R@CE? Command grabs ALWAYS (unless being heavily delayed) whiff on block. I could go, 5x, 5y into headbutt for all the infinity and its a blockstring you'll never get away from in the corner, and even worse, you made him run at the opponent for the grab. Said command has Yamazaki static. Seriously. I could just stay there all day applying the same string over and over.
Reflector punch. While you wanted to give Yamazaki a projectile, at least, keep its essence. Yamazaki has NO actual projectile, he absorbs them/reflects them instead (like Rose's Soul Reflect).
Also, what's the point of the headbutt being super cancellable? :/
Overhead kick: Why its an overhead special so fast when it was supposedly to be slow at startup? You only got right its an overhead, but not the fact its slow. Should be a surprise attack instead.
Also, his RDP Drill: Yes, its safe on block, but should push Yamazaki further from the enemy (the way you coded it, makes the string able to be repeated over and over and over with no real risk). The point of safe on block moves is that you're at a safe distance from the opponent to not be punished.
R@CE, If you want to make him custom, go on. But at least try to keep its essence of how he was in the original game. I can see you don't study the fighting games (that's why POTS and to a degree, Jmorphman have better characters).
